This Constitution is the fundamental law of your country and if you wish to influence how the Commonwealth Government operates, lobby to alter the document. It belongs to all Australian citizens.This book spells out the Australian Constitution in plain English, highlights shortcomings and presents a possible new constitution.Any move to a republic that simply replaces the Queen and Governor-General in the present Constitution with a President, is a wasted opportunity for a fresh look, with public input, on how the Commonwealth Government should operate in the twentieth century.
