Reseña del libro

Pretend you are a mouse, and follow the long tunnels and passage ways down deep inside the earth. In 1948, while I was in the fifth grade, I started writing a story about a rodent who I named Peter Patridge Mouse. Peter lived in a large vast cavern in the subterranean world named Mouse Town. The story's main premise revolves around Peter and his band of mice who undertake a journey to reach the earth's surface. The mice of Mouse Town before had never achieved such an adventure. The story takes the reader along on a trek with Peter and the band through thousands of miles of tunnels across vast underground oceans, over seas of molten magma and oil into wide caverns with gold and copper. There are many fascinating creatures and places that the group encounters along the way, including the remains of a fallen lunar moon, which now millions of years later, is a dark and decaying planet with black cheese. The remains of a interplanetary space liner and a 500 foot deep meteor crater. The mice find the Continental Rodent Ditch similar to the Grand Canyon on the earth's surface and the six-mile high Alligator Falls. The reader will journey into the earth's core to "Lava National Park." See the 653 foot tall toad stool.
