Volume 7 of the series "Huizinga Schriften" presents the overdue new translation of his work "Homo Ludens" (1938), which has had a decisive influence on our thinking of play ever since. This new translation is supplemented by the first translation of the autors's "Rektoratsrede" of 1933, which until today was only available as a self-translation.
