Reseña del libro

The González Rendón Archive awakened immediate interest, offering an opportunity to undertake a new review of aspects of the works of Lola Álvarez Bravo, now enriched by the unpublished material it contained, and revealing the international recognition given to the artist.Ibis interest was reflected in how attractive the archive was for researchers Adriana Zavala and Rachael Arauz, who have curated this show, as well as for the authors who wrote for this catalogue, addressing the artists work from new historical perspectives and dealing with the different subjects reflected by it. Among them are Deborah Dorotinsky, Ana Garduño, Karen Cordero Reiman, and James Oles, who acted as advisor for the exhibition and was the editor of this catalogue. Oles is a renowned scholar of Mexican photography and has been particularly interested in the work of Lola Álvarez Bravo for many years.
