In the past fifty years, the relationship of German and Israeli cultures has evolved from one of mutual estrangement to one of mutual fascination. This volume will be the first one dedicated to the outgrowth of this exchange: ´German-Hebrew Studies`. The collection will expose the contours of this new field and reveal its potential to redefine the disciplinary boundaries to which German and Hebrew linguistic cultures are traditionally confined.
