Glen Cook es un autor norteamericano de ciencia ficción y fantasy. Comenzó a escribir de manera profesional mientras trabajaba para la General Motors en una cadena de montaje de automóviles. Fue durante ese tiempo que Cook escribió el primer libro de la saga «La Compañía negra», formada por diez novelas largas y convertida hoy en un clásico de culto.
