This book is an outgrowth of the many poems that I have written over the years of my life. Most of them stemmed from the love for my wife Madeline. Some of the poems go back as far as 1968 when we were courting. The most recent poems stem from the love I felt for her after her stroke in 2001. The poems would come to me at all hours of the day and night. They were persistent. As any poet would tell you the poems are in your brain and just won't leave you alone until you pen them to paper
