The world is changing, the environment is changing and with this, there’s another imperative thing that’s changing, us, the human beings. Have you ever thought of the variations that are happening around you? How many times you’ve ruminated about the actual reasons behind the changes in the atmosphere, or in your society? Let’s be honest, we always crib about how frequently the weather is changing or how bad it’s getting, most of the people talk about the injustice happening to many, we feel gloomy after looking at how badly our planet or its people are being harmed with but what have we done about it? Let us ask this, who’s responsible for the harm being caused to this planet and humanity? We need to be a little upfront here and say that it’s nobody else, but us who are the reason behind most of the unfortunate and undesirable things happening to, and in this beautiful home or planet ‘Earth’, which don’t know since when is bearing the pain, heat, and sadness and being destructed because of us but still is continuing to provide shelter to end number of people residing here who instead and unfortunately are damaging it persistently.
It’s time to wake up and take charge for the purpose of bringing a much-needed transformation before it’s too late, there’s already enough destruction caused to the environment, society and its people but the good news is that there’s still a scope of augmentation and this is what this book has been created for, it has been written for the purpose of bringing you closer to the most virtuous solutions that can turn things around if worked upon in an unsurpassed manner. ‘Sustainable Development’ is a pathway that can lead us towards an enormous future and bring in an amazing transformation in the society as well as environment. Yes, it can bring an astonishing revolution in the environment and society if we all will start working towards it, however, understand that we’ll not be able to do this without gaining an appropriate and in-depth understanding about the same.
It's imperative for us to comprehend what Sustainable Development is, and how can it help us in bringing the desired change in this world, healing the harm and misery caused to humanity and environment, and above all enable you to make this planet a wonderful home for all.
Also, remember that its not a one-man show, and we’d need a team to do this, in fact, we all need to join hands and ensure that every possible thing is done so that it can help us save this beautiful planet and all its wonderful beings. There are many activities given in each chapter which needs to be conducted by the students for the purpose of promoting each goal, however, this doesn't mean that they need to restrict themselves to these activities only. Novices must involve themselves in other research-based activities and encourage their peers to be a part of the same, the more the merrier. The idea is to promote each goal as much as possible so that end number of people can be motivated to work towards the Global Goals and be a part of this fantastic movement of creating a sustainable present and future for all.
