(Alemania, 1900-1986) Trabajó cinco años colaborando en proyectos de planeamiento y como director de obra en Weimar y en 1919 ingresó en el departamento de arquitectura de la Bauhaus. A sus 26 años fue nombrado profesor y director del departamento de construcción de la Bauhaus de Weimar, y poco después director suplente y responsable del taller de arquitectura de la Universität Jena. En 1936 se publicó la primera edición alemana de Arte de proyectar en arquitectura.
