Set in the countryside of County Down, Northern Ireland, Declan sees something fall from the moonlit sky and discovers Jimmy The Dog in a basket. He takes Jimmy The Dog home and then introduces him to the lovely real places along the coast of the Irish Sea in County Down. There are magical features included in the story; sometimes as a feeling and sometimes by meeting fairytale-like characters (talking fish, angel, gnomes, forest king, fairy queen). This also tells the tale about being sad after losing a friend, finding a new friend, meeting more friends along the way, finding magic in everyday places and the wonderful feeling of knowing you are loved in your own home.
