About the book: - "My disability has opened my eyes to see my true abilities" - Robert M. Hensel. According to World Health Organisation (WHO) estimation the global number of disabled people has already crossed one billion. In India population of differently abled individuals is above 2.68 crores which constitute 2.21percent of the total Indian population (unofficially the numbers are much higher). Life is a journey with many problems on the way to solve, however; differently abled persons face more problems on their path. Disability is explained as a permanent injury, illness or physical or mental condition that tends to restrict the way that someone can live their life. Disabled people face many social, psychological, economic, legal, technological, financial and environmental barriers but they fight all odds and scrip their own success story with their vision and determination. I wrote this book to emphasis on the key element that disability is just a state of mind and never an obstacle to success. In this book i have shared examples of 51 such disabled persons who proved Disability is not Inability, lessons we can learn from them, disability myths, various obstacles they stumble upon and suggest few ways by which we can help them.
