Samanta Schweblin (Argentina, 1978) es una escritora argentina nacida en Buenos Aires, reconocida internacionalmente por su narrativa breve y su estilo inquietante. Entre sus libros más destacados se encuentran Pájaros en la boca, Siete casas vacías y la novela Distancia de Rescate (publicada en inglés como Fever Dream), que fue finalista del International Booker Prize. Ha sido galardonada con premios como el Fondo Nacional de las Artes, el Premio Casa de las Américas y el Premio Internacional de Narrativa Breve Ribera del Duero. Reside en Berlín, donde continúa desarrollando su carrera literaria y es considerada una de las voces más originales de la literatura contemporánea en español.
