Reseña del libro "Jesus the Everlasting Hope of Humankind (en Inglés)"

Jesus the Everlasting Hope of Humankind: Biblical Theology Prompted by Visions and Dreams from the Holy Spirit begins with a vision that came to Don Eckhart of two persons: one a Spirit-filled Christian and the other in the lake of fire. The vision depicts Jesus saving the desperate one crying out for mercy. Eckhart enrolled in seminary where he studied the Bible and the history of Christian theology, especially eternal punishment, a topic seldom examined since Augustine in the fifth century. Uniquely unfolding in the book are visions and dreams prompting an insightful study of Scripture and a biblical theology developed as the hope of Christ-mediated salvation for all. The effects are far-reaching but not complicated. This coherent theology includes afterlife correction and purification for nonbelievers, as well as for believers who never fully devoted to Jesus Christ. This purification compares to Catherine of Genoa's vision in the early sixteenth century. The book demonstrates how God's desire that all be saved can be accomplished according to Scripture. God's sovereignty and human free will coalesce, as every tongue joyfully confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord. The Good News may be even better than we thought! ""Don Eckhart has devoted nearly twenty years to a critical question: who can hope to be saved? Shaped by both prophetic dreams and careful research, his answer is that God offers that hope to everyone, whether in this life or the next. His thorough and wide-ranging discussion is both insightful and spiritually sensitive. His arguments deserve consideration by anyone who wrestles with this question or ministers to those who do."" --Brenda B. Colijn, Professor of Biblical Interpretation and Theology, Ashland Theological Seminary ""The author presents a clearly, well-written work which dispels the traditional gloom and doom theology. . . . The book is a wonderful masterpiece of the triumph of the hope and love of Jesus Christ for all. It speaks of the eternal heart of the love of God in Christ poured out for all humankind. The book affirms that no one in this life or in the next will be denied the gift of eternal life and salvation."" --JoAnn Ford Watson, Professor of Theology and Spiritual Formation, Ashland Theological Seminary ""Eckhart has mined Scripture, church history, and historical theology, and come up with an expansive vision (in every sense of that word) of the salvific work of Christ. In this grounded 'big picture' treatise, he offers us a merciful God, a welcoming Savior, and an actively communicating and invigorating Holy Spirit. His book confirms our Christian hope."" --Rev. Thomas A. Snyder, Adjunct Instructor, Ashland Theological Seminary Don Elijah Eckhart is a candidate for the Doctor of Ministry at Ashland Theological Seminary. He has a Master of Arts in Christian Theology from Ashland and a Master of Public Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He retired from public administration and was an instructor for the Ohio Certified Public Manager Program. Don enrolled in seminary to study whether the vision that came to him in 1999 is confirmed by Scripture.
