Kristin Cast was born on November 4, 1986. She co-writes the popular young adult, fantasy/horror House of Night series with her mother, P.C. Cast. She began contributing to the series at age 19. She has stand-alone stories in several anthologies as well as editorial credits. P.C. Cast nació en Illinois, en 1960. Actualmente reside en Oklahoma. Su primera novela fue La diosa del mar (2001). En 2005, comenzó a escribir con su hija, Kristin Cast, la exitosa saga «La casa de la noche», con la que llegó a ser autora best seller de The New York Times. P. C. Cast (Phyllis Christine Cast), nacida el 30 de abril de 1960 en Watseka, Illinois, es una autora estadounidense especializada en romance fantástico y literatura juvenil. Tras servir en la Fuerza Aérea de los EE.UU., enseñó inglés en secundaria durante 15 años antes de dedicarse por completo a la escritura. Es miembro del Oklahoma Writers Hall of Fame y ha sido #1 en las listas de bestsellers del New York Times y USA Today, con más de 20–30 millones de libros impresos en todo el mundo.

Su obra incluye series reconocidas como House of Night (co-escrita con su hija Kristin Cast), Goddess Summoning y Partholon. En 2001, su primera novela, Goddess by Mistake (más tarde relanzada como Divine by Mistake), ganó varios premios: Prism, Holt Medallion y Laurel Wreath; además fue finalista al National Readers' Choice Award.
