The Books of Maccabees are found in the Latin Vulgate dating to about 405 AD. Only fragements of the original of 1st Maccabees were found in the Dead Sea Scrolls, yet these books totaled 8 in number from the combined works of Josephus and by construction from the Roman Catholic Church. The history in part is not contested, but the style and voice from the middle ages has been questioned by some scholars. This collection is the first three books of which 2 and 3 have had some valid questions of authorship. 1 Maccabees is considered a reliable source of historical accounts by most experts on manuscripts, although with some contentions as to additions from other sources. This translation restores the use of the Sacred name of the Creator with Yahuah as a addition to personal libraries and historical biblical resources.
