Guy Gavriel Kay (Weyburn, 1954) es un escritor canadiense conocido por sus novelas de fantasía histórica, en las que fusiona elementos fantásticos con referencias a períodos históricos reales. En su juventud, colaboró con Christopher Tolkien en la edición de El Silmarillion. Su estilo narrativo se distingue por su profundidad temática y su enfoque en la complejidad de los personajes y culturas.
