Reseña del libro "Break the Silent Cycle of Domestic Violence: Home (a)effects: Domestic Violence Never Stays at Home (en Inglés)"
Our home lives naturally affect life outside of our own four residential walls. Domestic violence is not an issue that should be swept under a rug or regarded as only a personal matter. The spilling over of violence at home into the workplace can have considerable consequences not only for the parties involved but also for innocent colleagues clients. In Break the Silent Cycle of Domestic Violence, Zepora Bastian Certain lays out staggering data and a comprehensive course of action for businesses looking to take a proactive stance in protecting their employees from violence. With extensive research, and insightful tips on identifying the symptoms of an abuse victim, Certain has compiled an invaluable resource for both management and employees in clear rhetoric to tackle this silent threat and ultimately help others to help themselves. This book is a tool anyone can use to protect themselves and the ones they care about. In the case of domestic violence, ignorance is everything but bliss. About the Author Zepora Bastian Certain was born and raised in Jamaica Queens, New York, one of ten children. After proudly serving her country in the Persian Gulf War, she was honorably discharged and began her educational career, which included a B.S. in Accounting, M.B.A in Management and M.S.A.C. in Accounting Controllership. She enjoys volunteering in her community and has even travelled to Honduras to be a blessing to others. Having been a victim of domestic violence herself and seeing firsthand the tangible effects of domestic violence within her work environment, Certain was encouraged to share her experience and process of healing with others. She has been married for over thirty years and has a daughter.
