TETFund was established to address the deteriorating infrastructure and overall condition of the Nigerian education sector. However, despite its establishment, many challenges persist, including insufficient manpower with higher academic qualifications, inadequate research skills and expertise, limited access to research materials, high staff turnover, and poor library services. These challenges have contributed to the declining standard of education in Nigeria over the years. Against this background, this study investigated the effects of TETFund interventions on academic staff development programmes at Federal University Gashua. Specifically, it examined the impact of TETFund-sponsored study fellowships on the acquisition of higher degrees by academic staff at FUGA, assessed the role of conference attendance in enhancing lecturers' skills and professional expertise, and explored the contribution of TETFund-sponsored library development services to improving access to research materials at the university.
