Reseña del libro "Amicalola Fall'n"
She came to north Georgia to walk two thousand miles. She got eight and a half. Emma Kate Hollis has spent twenty-five years doing the next impressive thing. Straight A's, veterinary school on the first try, and a residency at a Kentucky equine hospital that made her mother cry the good kind of tears. So she defers it for a year, straps on sixty-one pounds of gear she has no idea how to carry, and drives to the trailhead at Amicalola Falls to find out what she actually wants. She makes it as far as the parking lot. Cal Mercer buys apples for a grocery chain, wears an eyepatch he refuses to explain honestly, and nearly backs his truck over her on her first afternoon in the mountains. He also carves faces into apples in his spare time, dries them into small wrinkled old people, and gives every single one a name and a life story he will defend at length. She calls him the Apple Pirate. He calls her Doctor Backpack. Neither of them is supposed to stay. But an orchard is about to be squeezed out of business by a company Cal works for, an old farmer needs a veterinarian more than he can afford one, and two people who have spent their whole lives waiting for later are running out of reasons to keep waiting. A warm, funny, closed-door Southern romance about small farms, stubborn people, and choosing a life instead of inheriting one.
