From the scientific point of view, there is a need to establish a relationship between traditional medicine and the chemical, biological and therapeutic activities of medicinal plants found in the regions of our country Colombia. The objective of this research was to evaluate the antimicrobial, antineoplastic and cytotoxic activity of the essential oils of some plants from the department of Quindío and the Valle de Colombia. As can be seen in the document, the results obtained corroborated the traditional use of these species and the possible elaboration of antineoplastic and antimicrobial products in the future.
