Reseña del libro "Cabin Pressure (en Inglés)"

"Kevin Foote's poetry is expansive in its observations and reflections that poignantly expose both truth and hope about the current state of education in America. "Cabin Pressure" is an incredible first collection that weaves snapshots of what it's like to be an educator who understands the rawness of their students' experiences with snapshots of what it's like to walk out of the school and into a world that's both beautiful and terrifying. Foote's poetry spins social injustice and the struggles of identity into compassion, connection, and gives the reader a delicate balance between optimism and reality. You'll see yourself in the pages of "Cabin Pressure," whether you're a fellow educator, a parent, a member of any creative or marginalized community, and especially if you still hold space for your past self and want to make more room in your heart for humanity." -Marissa Forbes, Author of "Surviving Peter Pan" and "Brief & Bleeding Margins," and Managing Editor of Twenty Bellows "Grounded specifically in place and moment, these poems are universal in their ache for belonging, understanding, purpose, and meaning. They answer the co-occurring questions "is my teacher a real person?" and "do teachers really care?"--with Foote at the helm, the answers are unequivocally Yes and Yes. Cabin Pressure is a must-read for anyone who loves a student, loves a teacher, or loves both." -Debra Keane, LCSW Published Poet, South Broadway Ghost Society
