This book is our second in a series focused on career growth for women and girls in sciences, the very first one having been published in 2023. In Chapter One, we profiled perspectives of leaders from academic and other institutions involved in training and professional capacity-building activities, where also, women and girls are involved. Chapter Two features a panel discussion involving women in Science. Chapter Three are original research papers on issues aligned and or related to this book theme. In Chapter Four, we profile lived experiences of women and girls on, academic and career progression in the field of sciences. Overall, the submissions in this edition show that there are some recurrent and common issues perceived by females, to influence career progression and these included patriarchy, cultural steorotyping, faith, mentorship and resilience among others given in detail in this publication. We call for a comparative study to determine if these are unique to only females or equally affect the males in sciences. A collection of lived experiences, research, expert talks, the academia, policymakers, practitioners and researchers will find this publication useful in decisions, making, prioritisation and actions in research, teaching, policy and interventions on matters of females in sciences.
