'Chaand bujh gaya (The moon went out)' is a book by Sarla Devi which contains selected selected short stories written by her. Sarla Devi is not only the younger sister of prominent Urdu writer Krishan Chander, but she has her own unique literary personality. Sarla Devi's literary taste may have been nurtured by Krishan Chander, may have taught her to write and even corrected her. But Sarla's style is her own, and the content of her stories is something that no man could ever achieve.
