Reseña del libro "Content For Covenant (en Inglés)"

Content For Covenant What I remember most about my childhood is not loneliness, even though technically I was an only child. People hear that and immediately assume a person must have grown up spoiled, quiet, or always wanting attention, but my life was nothing like that. I was my mother’s only child, yes, but I was raised in the South, and growing up in the South meant family did not belong to one household. Family belonged to everybody. Everybody’s children were your children. Everybody’s kitchen was your kitchen. Everybody corrected you, fed you, watched you, and prayed over you. That was the kind of world I came from. There were ten of them altogether, five girls and five boys, and at the center of it all stood my grandmother, Mrs. Mittie L. Nash, whom we called Big Mama. Big Mama’s house was never quiet. Between my mama’s brothers and sisters, cousins running in and out, pots cooking on the stove, radios humming in the background, and somebody always fussing about something, there was no room for anybody to feel alone. That house raised me just as much as my mama did...
