Fallen. An Undercurrent Novel (en Inglés) - Rory Surtain

Behind every weapon is a curse. Behind every curse, a demon.

From the backwoods of Louisiana to London's city streets, hidden societies thrive on blood pacts and territorial disputes. Covens broker treaties with federal agents, while cartels leverage the Infernal for illicit gains. In the middle of it all, two souls become the last line of defense against a conspiracy and curse that threatens to consume them all.

Leerie isn't a witch. She's a Witness, one of eight in the world, and a prized possession of a powerful coven. Having fallen into a black witch's trap, Leerie's more valuable dead than alive, but she's never been particularly good at doing what she's told.

Ciro goes by several names, none of them entirely true. Some have tagged him Overkill, while others call him Storm. He's a collector of broken things and a warrior searching for a way home. He's also human, but with a soul that's older and more divided than anyone can imagine.

Together, they discover that the war everyone feared has already begun.
Together, they must choose where their loyalties lie.

For readers who love the world-building of Ilona Andrews, the supernatural grit of Kim Harrison's Hollows series, and the bayou atmosphere of Charlaine Harris-with the political edge of a thriller.

"Dark, layered, and ferociously imagined. Fallen earns every scar."
