This work contains 99 love poems, composed over a number of years. The poems are inspired by the lived experiences of the poet, experienced on the mystical path of love, commonly taken by a sufi dervish in search of divine love. Some known sufi poets include: Rumi (1207 - 1273), Hafiz (1315-1390), Bulleh Shah (1680-1757) and Yunus Emre (1238-1320) among others.

The poet has composed these poems imagining himself being possessed by the spirit of love, which was split into two souls since the beginning of time. The two souls were destined to seek their each-other in a worthy human heart and experience love in different lifetimes throughout the ages. Through every experience they gain higher self-awareness, understand and experience divine love evermore intimately- the highest form of love that can be experienced.
