This author has come to realize that environments are about more than beauty and more than functionality. It is more than a place to eat, sleep, and rest. It is more than safety from the elements. Where one lives matters. It is even hardest in times of transition to something new and not knowing what to expect or which direction to go. Faced with a decision like that, she turned to God who filled her in on how to begin her new life by giving the task of decorating her apartment. It was a new twist on the problem she did not expect. She could decorate for who she was to become, if she trusted him fully. She decided to do it knowing only God had that information. Included are the secrets and the struggle to do so. It involved hunting, and stepping out of one's comfort zone. It involved waiting on the timing for when and where to go seek what she needed, an unusual approach indeed and one she would gladly do again. "It feels so good to be in the palm of God's hand in even the smallest of things. I thought God was like a big human man, scratching his head trying to understand me. Nope, I am made in his image and he fully gets it. It matters to him what my environment looks like. It matters a lot because it matters to me. He put that desire in me there."Part way through the project, in blew hurricane Harvey. What happened to the project? You have got to find out how good God is as he started on the author's inside environment...as her city recovers and home items become available once again.
