Kitty Kapers is a series of three books inspired by three of the author's eight grandchildren. The events in the stories are inspired by real things which happened in the lives of each of the children which have been altered to fit the story format and over all tale. The author has used many actual words her amusing grandchildren have used, altering them only as needed to apply to the story. Written to address real life issues in a fun and engaging manner, Kitty Kapers explores being part of a blended family, sibling rivalry, conquering childhood fears, dealing with bullies, and learning to submit to authority. It is the author's hope for these stories to resonate with both child and parent in a meaningful way and to encourage dialogue between parents and children to discuss and find solutions for these issues. The author's intent is to help children learn valuable life lessons while being entertained by the funny, exciting, sometimes scary capers these kittens get up to as their family develops and grows. There are discussion questions at the end of this first book in the series to aid parents and/or care givers in discussing the book with their children.
