Reseña del libro "La vie des Choses: Momenta | Biennale de L'image "

Mass production is tending to re-define the lines between supposedly inert and passive material things and human beings, considered the only subjects endowed with agency. Even images are far from being impermeable to this and spread presently beyond the two-dimensional space, becoming objects in themselves. MOMENTA Montreal thus explores the universes built between individuals and their material environment, highlighting the reciprocal relations between subject and object. Artists: Laura Aguilar, Francis Alys, Kader Attia, Elisabeth Belliveau, Karen Paulina Biswell, Maeve Brennan, Jonathas de Andrade, Raphaelle de Groot, Hannah Doerksen, Patricia Dominguez, Chun Hua Catherine Dong, Alinka Echeverria, Peter Fischli / David Weiss, Jeneen Frei Njootli, Marina Gadonneix, Gauri Gill, Maggie Groat, Felicity Hammond, Jerome Havre, Laura Huertas Millan, Keyezua, Kapwani Kiwanga, Anouk Kruithof, Maryse Lariviere, Taus Makhacheva, Ana Mendieta, Izumi Miyazaki, Bridget Moser, Meagan Musseau, Rafael Ortega, Juan Ortiz-Apuy, Celia Perrin Sidarous, Miguel Angel Rios, Jamie Ross, Victoria Sin, Cauleen Smith, Batia Suter, Camille Turner. Londono Kapwani Kiwanga and Maryse Lariviere have each conceived of a series of artworks exclusive to this publication. Text in French.
