Lyrical Living is a collection from the wide-ranging and prolific work of James W. Tayburn. With a light touch, but with serious depth, Tayburn writes on topics that most of us experience in our own lives. Much of this work, as implied by the dedication (For Family and Friends), is focused on those closest to the author. In that same vein, Tayburn writes with feeling about God, whom he clearly loves, and about travel, Arizona, and golf, all of which he also loves.This is a book you can pick up and read, starting anywhere and ending anywhere, and feel good about what you have read. The insights are plentiful, sometimes obvious, and sometimes subtle, but always worth finding. It is poetry of the kind most of us would write if we could, but with little twists that show the dedication of the author to his craft. Fun, clean, sometimes funny, sometimes reflective, and always enjoyable.
