Mercy of the Rope. A Gripping Conspiracy Thriller (en Inglés) - James Tarr

A hard-hitting political thriller of covert operations, cartel violence, government corruption, assassinations, and rogue agents working outside the law.

The Subsection was created to stop corruption inside the government. Now it’s become a target itself.

The Subsection doesn’t officially exist.

Created in secret to protect Americans from the corruption spreading through their own government, the organization operates outside the law, taking on the cases nobody else will touch.

Cartels are using U.S. military resources to move drugs across the border. Terrorists are slipping between Canada and the United States unnoticed. Federal agencies are looking the other way while powerful people profit.

Detroit private investigator John Phault never expected to get caught in the middle of it. But a routine case drags him into a covert war involving assassinations, political corruption, and a secret black-ops team fighting enemies inside the system itself.

Now the CIA is closing in on the truth behind the Subsection’s existence, and the people pulling the strings are willing to bury anyone who gets too close.

Including Phault.

The Mercy of the Rope is a high-stakes conspiracy thriller in the Subsection series, perfect for readers who love black-ops action, covert intelligence teams, political corruption, cartel thrillers, vigilante justice, and relentless action in the style of Lee Child, John Grisham, and Dan Brown.
