New Friends. Bilingual European Portuguese-English Stories (en Inglés) - Pomme Bilingual

Continue your European Portuguese learning journey with New Friends: Bilingual European Portuguese-English Stories, the second book for at beginner A1 Level in the 52 Story Method, a progressive reading system designed to help adult learners develop their language skills through immersive storytelling.

Return to Lia’s quiet Portuguese neighbourhood, where new friendships begin and everyday moments bring unexpected discoveries. Meet Miguel, the new neighbour; discover the story of Tomás, the cat from number twelve; follow Lia as she searches for a lost key; and share a comforting bowl of soup on a rainy evening.

Through four connected stories, familiar characters and places become part of a growing world. Everyday situations introduce useful vocabulary and simple expressions, while repeated language helps learners build confidence and understanding naturally.

Designed for A1 beginners, these accessible stories use clear European Portuguese, short sentences and carefully controlled language. English translation support helps readers follow the narrative while becoming more familiar with Portuguese vocabulary and sentence patterns.

Rather than relying on memorisation, isolated vocabulary or grammar drills, the 52 Story Method encourages learners to develop their skills through authentic Portuguese storytelling, gentle repetition and the pleasure of following a story.

A warm and accessible way to build confidence in European Portuguese, one story at a time.
