Dieses Liederbuch (in deutsch und english) richtet sich an Gitarristinnen und Gitarristen, die Seemannslieder im Fingerpicking-Stil begleiten möchten. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Begleitung: Jedes Lied ist mit passenden Fingerpickingmustern notiert, dies ersetzt das einfache Strumming für die Liedbegleitung. So entsteht beim Spielen ein voller, mehrstimmiger Klang, der den Gesang unterstützt und melodiös begleitet. Alle Stücke sind in der bekannten Gitarrentabulatur notiert. Für die Gesangsmelodie wurde die klassische Notenschrift verwendet, der Liedtext unterstützt ebenso bei der Orientierung im Song. Zu jedem Lied sind Sounds dabei: Die Gitarre und die Gesangsmelodie sowie die Melodie (im Piano-Sound) alleine, zum Mitspielen und Üben. The focus is on accompaniment: Each song is notated with suitable fingerpicking patterns, replacing simple strumming for accompaniment. This creates a full, multi-layered sound that supports and melodically accompanies the vocals. All pieces are notated in guitar tablature. Standard musical notation is used for the vocal melody, and the lyrics also help with orientation within the song. Each song includes sound effects: the guitar and vocal melody, as well as the melody (in piano sound) on its own, for playing along and practicing.
