It's the year 2112. Humans barely survived the ecological devastation of climate change and global war in the 21st century. A utopian society called the Bioregional Collectivist International emerged from the rubble and paved the way forward with a more sustainable way of life. Gabriel Siddartha is an investigator with the reformulated Peace Force whose main function is conflict mediation. When he is given an assignment to investigate the mysterious death of a famous scientist, he uncovers a conspiracy to destroy the new society that saved humanity from extinction.
