Reseña del libro "The Unopened Drawer (en Inglés)"
THE UNOPENED DRAWERA Christmas Story of Unfinished LoveOn Christmas Eve, the Bell family gathers in the house they are about to sell. Rooms are half-empty. Boxes stack where stockings used to hang. One last tree still glows in the corner because Carol Bell refused to take it down early. In the attic they find her late brother’s nightstand. The top drawer is locked. When they finally open it, they discover dozens of Christmas cards—written, sometimes stamped, never mailed. The notes are not grand or polished. They are specific, awkward, and strangely funny: a mailbox accident blamed on a dog, a fishing spot someone was right about, extra butter in the pecan pie.Joe had spent years noticing the people of their small town. He just never could walk the cards to the mailbox. So the family does it for him. What follows is not a perfect Christmas. Doors slam. Old wounds surface. Some cards land like gifts; others like late witnesses. Grief and gratitude sit at the same table. And a quiet man the family thought they knew turns out to have been paying attention all along. The Unopened Drawer is a warm, unsentimental story about the love we inherit unfinished—and the courage it takes to carry it the rest of the way.A book for anyone who has ever left a letter unsent, a word unspoken, or a drawer locked a little too long.
