Reseña del libro "This Night We Fell (en Inglés)"
She had been introduced to Mr. Charming, Prince to be exact at an early age. You could perhaps blame it on Mr. Disney. Afterall, he promoted Prince Charming and fairy tales. But she has an even closer connection that makes her believe in happily ever after. Her Nana and mother had found their princes. It was only natural that there was a Mr. Charming for her, although the few toads she had kissed, had no effect on her either. She remained uninteresting to the opposite sex.Coming from a diverse ancestry and raised by her grandparents, Lauren Anderson has the best of both worlds, but treasures the wisdom of her rock, Lenora Mar Bell, more than the financial wealth of Jean Paul Marceau, her Pop Pop. Approaching 35, she has much to prove to her family that she can make it on her own in New York City. . . alone.Christian Warren, president and CEO of Warren Pharmaceuticals Industries knew what needed to be done to be successful. Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, success seemed to come easy. But his grandmother's voiced reminded him, "when you're on top there is no place to go. . . but down."His desire to expand overseas and in third world companies, motivates him to celebrate. Hiring Miss Anderson, chief cook, bottle washer and owner of La Ffleur to cater his affair, she takes this as an opportunity to expand her business as well. However, is life ever a fairy tale? Prince Charming seems meaningless when Lauren loses her rock. Christian's desire to expand sets in motion him losing controlling shares in Warren Pharmaceuticals, and the takeover of his company. Unable to obtain the necessary shares to maintain control, the day of reckoning arrives. Again, the voice of his grandmother reminds him that, "when you're on top there is no place to go. . . but down."But in his heart, he believes that the Lord works in mysterious ways. With no miracle handed to him but a cup of coffee and a multitude of somber good mornings, he opens the door to the conference room only to be met by vultures, waiting to feast before the prey is dead. However, he has six hundred seconds before the axe falls. . . more than enough time for the good Lord to perform a miracle.
