Vengeance Delayed. A Historical Romance Mystery (en Inglés) - Alyson Chase

Trapped by a storm in a manor house, a daring female sleuth must expose the killer in their midst.

England, 1821. Time with family is one of the comforts of life... until the skeletons come clawing their way out of the closets. Lady Mary Cavindish is beginning to regret accepting the invitation of her brother-in-law for a house party in the English countryside. The company is insufferable, the food worse, and then the host is found murdered.

Trapped inside the manor by a once-in-a-century storm, Lady Mary knows every guest is in danger while a murderer runs loose. Determined to find justice for her brother-in-law, Lady Mary goes on a hunt for a killer, unearthing secrets that were never meant to see the light of day.

Assisting in her pursuit, Henry Evans, the victim's attorney, feels duty-bound to investigate the crime, at least until authorities can arrive. The victim's beautiful fiancé is an enticement he doesn't need but one he is powerless to resist. She has secrets, but are they the secrets of a murderess?

Lady Mary and her confederates must unravel a web of deceit and revenge if they are to find the killer. A killer quite willing to take their secrets to other people's graves.

A tantalizing blend of Regency intrigue and romance, VENGEANCE DELAYED is an original mystery that explores family ties and the lengths some will go to sever them completely.
