There is always one person. One, that completely destroys you. They come along when you're jaded and cynical as everything you believed they should be. Its not until you've gone all the way down the rabbit hole that you see their true self, and in doing so, see your true self as well. You hunger in secret for someone to share these days with. I honestly cannot blame you. We by nature are driven to search for a counterpart to this life, and ultimately this search takes us down familiar roads. Familiar roads because it's all relatable. Love and its opposite can be joy and bliss, embarrassing and humbling, or soul crushing. All this we do in pursuit of another to understand and love us, without rejection, without judgements. My story is nothing special. I'm just a guy, but a guy who has experienced the perspective of love from only one side. I can't explain to you what it means to be wholly loved, or to be completely wanted. While some of that my in fact be my own doing, this rest is a question I have no answer for. What I have experienced, has given me a perspective similar and different from others. It has shaped my view of healthy relationships and what it means to feel "love." It is my duty as a poet and artist to share my interpretation of life as those who came before me have. One cannot solely sustain on joy and happiness, it is the poets, musicians, novelists, dancers, and of the great comedians that take in the darker parts of life and transform them in to something to fed souls. These are my thoughts, fears, dreams, questions, insecurities, my love, and my hate. She was beautiful, and I so foolishly loved her.
