Reseña del libro "Whatever You See, That's Just Me! Beach Edition. A Children's Picture Book About Accepting and Respecting Neurodivergence (en Inglés)"

Trips to the beach are loved by kids! But not every child will experience a trip to the beach the same way.

Neurodivergent children may seem different to others. But that's because they experience the world in their own unique way.

In this children's picture book, we present the many ways autistic kids might do things a little differently at the beach. We cover communication, sensory needs, stimming, transitions, unique play, social skills and many more of the common features and challenges associated with autism, ADHD, and AuDHD.

With fun illustrations, and engaging rhyming text, we present and celebrate all the differences and create understanding about the challenges.

By presenting these differences, we encourage accepting, respecting, and connecting with all kids.

For neurodivergent children, read this book with them! They can see some traits of themselves and understand that it's okay to do things differently.

For siblings, family members, friends, peers, and anyone else, read this book with them! They'll gain understanding of how many people see and do things in their own unique way, and learn to accept everyone for who they are.

About the Author

This book was written by an author in the education space for over 20 years, who is also the mother of two autistic boys. The series was inspired by her eldest son, who has the confidence to be himself and let everyone know he is unique and has his own ways, but his ways are never wrong. As he says, "whatever you see, that's just me!"
