Therefore, it behooves all other Americans to not underestimate that unusual preoccupation when determining the essence of their relations with white America.Several short opening chapters establish the foundation for all that follows, and the connections are maintained throughout in such a way that the reader can analyze the narrative without subconsciously succumbing to traditional biases. Factors such as what motivated the governments, churches and businessmen of Europe, how the colonists related to each other, how the "founding fathers" clashed with other patriots, how the Constitution replaced the Articles of Confederation, why the War Between the States was fought, how slavery ended, and the aim of Reconstruction are revisited, and different conclusions posited.What makes the presentation and perspective of An Introduction to White History exceptional is it is perhaps the first summary of United States history written by a Black historian. This explains why the term "white" is so prominent in the title. Non-white Americans are also principal participants in the history of America, and their interpretations are as legitimate as all others. People in the United States need to pay more attention to narratives that are not the product of unsubstantiated biases."They gambled!
