The pulse quickening action starts as soon as Nick steps off the plane. Hired assassins mistake him for a local private eye. The local cops are corrupted by a wealthy corporate CEO who wants Nick dead. The trail leads into Wisconsin and Nick becomes the number one suspect in a casino robbery. The action never slows its furious pace as the police from two states set their sights on Nick. To add to Nick's woes he accidentally stumbles onto a bank heist in Connecticut. Nick suspects a CIA black op and teams with FBI special agent Jonathan Cotton in an effort to solve the disappearance of a billion dollars.
