Reseña del libro "Metaxa Stars: The Evolution of a Greek Spirit Within Generations (en Inglés)"

Metaxa Stars is the true story of a Greek spirit - the internationally acclaimed brandy, told by Zika Metaxa. In addition to offering behind the scenes glimpses into the story of the "famous Metaxa" Zika shares her own life and career stories with candor ("my lazy crazy eye"), humor (the "flaming vodka shots" that wouldn't extinguish), and insightfulness ("why do we follow the footsteps that lead us down the wrong paths?"). As a member of an internationally known family company, founded in 1888, Zika learned many valuable lessons, including the importance of spotting and breaking the behavioral and emotional patterns that bind you. "Life forms identical patterns. These patterns are much more than purely coincidental paths in the lives of families, generation after generation. In my family, it's not only names repeating themselves, but real-life stories repeated over and over, again and again..." What is involved in the evolution of a spirit? Patience, resilience, determination and a devotion across generations to allow the spirit to reach its true potential. This holds true whether the spirit is of the drinking kind or the human kind. Ultimately, in order to evolve, Zika had to find her star. The good news is, you don't have to be a member of an international spirits family to find valuable lessons in Zika's dynamic journey. In these pages, as you meet the Metaxas, dating back to family patriarch Spyros Metaxa (born 1848), you will learn about the character traits that built the family distillery and allowed it to evolve over time, including surviving multiple wars. Most importantly, you will learn what it takes to find your star and shine. YA SU! (To your health!)
