Ian Fleming (Reino Unido, 1908 - 1964) trabajó en la agencia Reuters. Su primera novela, "Casino Royale" (1953), fue un éxito, dando inicio a la serie de James Bond. Entre sus obras más conocidas se encuentran "Goldfinger" (1959) y "Desde Rusia con amor" (1957). Además de las novelas de Bond (13 en total), escribió dos obras de no ficción y "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang".
