A portrait of a family in crisis, this poignant novel navigates the tensions created when a family of faith is tested like they have never been before. When a minister's wife dies suddenly, he is left devastated, with four children to raise alone. When the boy's anger turns to violent outbursts after a mysterious incident at a summer camp that he refuses to speak about, the family must find a way to come together and try to help him before it is too late.
