Contents include: "The Kestrel", "The Short-Eared Owl", "The Thrush", "The Blackbird", "The Robin", "The Fieldfare", "The Blackcap", "The Whitethroat", "The Garden Warbler", "The Great Titmouse", "The Blue Titmouse", "The Coal Titmouse", "The Crested Titmouse", etc. James Edmund Fotheringham Harting (1841 - 1928) was an English ornithologist and naturalist. Other notable works by this author include: "The Birds of Middlesex" (1866), "Rambles in Search of Shells" (1876), and "Ostriches and Ostrich Farming" (1877). Many vintage books such as this are increasingly scarce and expensive. It is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume now complete with a specially-commissioned new biography of the author.
